The Department of Pharmaceutical Technologies is organizing a guidance lecture titled "Student Adaptation to University Life."
In an effort by the department leadership to raise awareness among first-year students as they embark on a new academic journey full of opportunities and challenges, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technologies at the Technical Institute of Kufa organized a special guidance lecture on “Student Adaptation to University Life.”
The lecture was delivered by:
Prof. Dr. Ne’ma Abd Al-Samad, a faculty member at the College of Education, University of Kufa.
During the session, the concept of adaptation and the significance of the university stage in one’s life were clarified. The university, before being a place for seeking knowledge, is a valuable opportunity for intellectual development and building a positive personality.
The lecture also addressed the academic differences between high school and university levels, highlighting the responsibilities of university students, the challenges they face, and strategies for overcoming them. Additionally, it discussed the student’s relationship with professors, the scientific department, fellow students, and university staff.
Furthermore, key sections of the Student Discipline Code were explained, emphasizing the importance of student-led scientific and social initiatives, as well as volunteer work, with assurance of departmental support for student activities.
The session concluded with several recommendations, the most notable being the necessity for university students to complete academic tasks diligently and meet the department’s requirements, while also fostering a high sense of responsibility.
In recognition of his efforts and the valuable information presented during the lecture, the institute’s administration awarded Dr. Ne’ma Abd Al-Samad a certificate of appreciation.
