In conjunction with the launch of Global Entrepreneurship Week, and with the aim of fostering effective communication between academic institutions and the community represented by employers to address the latest scientific developments in line with labor market requirements, the Division of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Evaluation at the Technical Institute of Kufa organized a workshop for employers under the theme:
“Towards Excellence in Technical Education and Community Service.”
The workshop was attended by the Director of the Quality Assurance Department at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, as well as several distinguished employers from various fields, including medical, technological, administrative, and agricultural sectors. They were welcomed by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem Abadi, in the presence of department heads, the Head of the Quality Assurance Division, staff members, and students.
The event included several segments, beginning with a recitation from the Holy Quran, the Iraqi national anthem, and a presentation introducing the institute’s academic departments.
The Dean inaugurated the workshop, emphasizing the institute’s commitment to continuously improving educational curricula and training programs to align with labor market needs. He noted that the workshop’s purpose was to familiarize employers with the curricula, gather their valuable feedback and suggestions for improvement, and explore their perspectives on establishing new specializations demanded by the market.
The workshop concluded with a tour for the employers, during which they visited the academic departments, laboratories, and equipment. Meetings were held with department staff to discuss the educational and training programs offered to students and to collect employers’ feedback on their quality and development.
The workshop concluded with several key recommendations, fulfilling its objectives effectively.
