Dean of the Technical Institute / Al-Kufa, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem Abbadi, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, Dr. Ayad Muslim Hamza, followed the stages of producing natural honey in the institute’s own apiary.
The apiary annually supplies the local market with a high-quality product.
This visit highlights the concept of the “productive university” and the focus on local production. During the tour, His Excellency reviewed the workflow in the apiary and the steps involved in sorting and filtering honey, in addition to the stages of bottling and packaging.
The Dean commended the efforts of the staff working to sustain this vital project.
He also emphasized the importance of such productive initiatives, which strengthen the institute’s role in serving the community, provide high-quality natural products, and enrich the practical skills of students in relevant specialties. He added that projects of this kind contribute to sustainable development.
