Dr. Mona Adel Ismail, Teaching Staff Member in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department at the Technical Institute / Kufa, participated in the Seventh International Scientific Conference on Creativity and Innovation, organized by the Iraqi International Creativity and Innovation Forum in Baghdad, under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister and the supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The conference was held under the title:
“By creativity, we rise toward the peaks.”
This recognition was awarded in appreciation of her research participation titled:
“Assessment of antiparasitic drug resistance markers in Entamoeba histolytica isolates from patients with recurrent amoebiasis.”
The study provided a comprehensive review of the available knowledge regarding markers of resistance to antiparasitic drugs in tissue-dwelling amoebiasis (i.e., Entamoeba histolytica), particularly in samples from patients with recurrent infections, and examined how this knowledge can influence clinical management and the development of future treatments.
Congratulations to Dr. Mona on this achievement, and wishing her continued excellence in local and international scientific forums—contributing to advancing the journey of scientific research and innovation in our beloved country.
