The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Technical Institute / Kufa concluded a training course titled
“First Aid Skills in Emergencies and Disasters, and Prevention of Communicable and Common Diseases”
The course was delivered by:

It aimed to:
1-Familiarize participants with the basic skills of first aid during emergencies and disasters.
2-Enhance the ability to deal with urgent injuries quickly and effectively.
3-Raise awareness of prevention methods for communicable and common diseases during emergencies, thereby reducing infection rates and deaths during disasters.
The program included an introduction to crises and incidents, with coverage of the fundamentals of first aid and first-aid procedures in disaster environments. Members of the volunteer team also carried out intensive hands-on practical applications on emergency first aid, including how to respond immediately to sudden injuries and save choking cases, where correct physical maneuvers for opening and maintaining the airway were demonstrated.
The course was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Kazem Khiyoun, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Ms. Angham Najeh, Head of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department; and Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Abd Al-Zahra, Head of the Nursing Techniques Department. Also present were a number of the institute’s faculty and staff, along with enthusiastic interaction from the students, who enriched the discussions with their scientific questions.
