The Technical Institute/Kufa continues to host the National Evaluators’ Team and the Institutional Accreditation Council dispatched by the Academic Supervision and Evaluation Authority from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This activity is part of a seven-day assessment visit to support national institutional accreditation for the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and its affiliated colleges.
On the second day of the visit, the focus shifted toward the practical and field aspects. The team conducted field tours that included several scientific departments across a range of specializations to review the key components of the educational process closely.
The tour also included direct discussions with teaching and technical staff to assess the level of academic and research engagement as well as how well the curricula align with the requirements of the labor market—reflecting the Institute’s strategic vision for enhancing the efficiency of graduates.
The visiting team members commended the high level of organization and the dedication demonstrated by the Institute’s staff in building advanced institutional systems. It is expected that the team’s tasks will continue to cover all remaining aspects of the work, leading to the issuance of the final report, which will pave the way for announcing the accreditation results.
For his part, the institute dean, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem Abbadi, affirmed that this visit represents a pivotal step toward enhancing the university’s reputation both locally and internationally and reaffirming commitment to the highest standards of academic governance that serve the educational journey in Iraq.
