The Department of Pharmaceutical Techniques at the Technical Institute/Kufa organized a scientific visit for second-year students to the laboratories of the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, and the College of Science at the University of Kufa, under the supervision of several faculty members, including Dr. Farah Khalid Hussein, an assistant lecturer. Zahra Hussam Jaber, and an assistant lecturer. Haurá Saleh Dhaher.
The visit included a tour of specialized laboratories, where students familiarized themselves with the modern equipment used in pharmaceutical analysis and quality control, including the High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) system, the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) system, as well as devices for analyzing pharmaceutical preparations and conducting stability and quality tests, alongside immunological testing equipment, which are considered essential foundations in modern medical laboratories.
The visit also included an introduction to the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), with practical explanations of their significant research and diagnostic uses
For his part, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Techniques, Assoc. Prof. Mahmoud Mohi Fadh, expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the deans of the College of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Science, as well as the laboratory staff, for their warm reception, excellent organization, and scientific support, reflecting their esteemed academic mission in serving the educational process
