The Department of Emergency Medical Techniques and First Aid at the Technical Institute of Kufa, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, is a specialized biomedical discipline dedicated to providing immediate medical care for emergency and critical cases. The department focuses on managing a wide range of illnesses and injuries that require rapid intervention to prevent severe complications or save lives. This includes trauma from accidents, heart attacks, strokes, respiratory emergencies, acute infections, and other time-sensitive conditions.

Head of Emergency Medical Techniques and First Aid Department

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jassim Mohammed Tuwaij was born on February 12, 1988. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Techniques and First Aid. Dr. Tuwaij specializes in Clinical Biochemistry, a field in which he has built a distinguished academic career. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Babylon in 2009, followed by a Master’s degree from the same institution in 2012. He culminated his academic achievements by obtaining a PhD from the University of Kufa in 2018.
