The course aimed to empower academic and administrative staff to handle emergency challenges with high professionalism.
It included a range of vital topics, starting with the human aspect by addressing the phenomenon of “academic frustration,” identifying its causes, psychological effects, and how to build effective strategies to confront it.
In the context of field safety, the course reviewed mechanisms for preventing “electrical hazards,” emphasizing the importance of grounding systems, safety rules, and first aid. It also covered precise protocols for crisis management in biological laboratories, including design standards for labs and the essential differences between biosecurity and safety.
On the administrative and technical fronts, the course discussed the role of crisis management in enhancing decision-making, the distinction between crisis and disaster concepts, and ways to address “technical risks,” such as electronic system failures and software network outages.
The course concluded by identifying the necessary skills for crisis management teams to ensure the continuity of scientific and service work in line with comprehensive quality standards in the university environment.
