The Internal Audit and Control Department is one of the institute’s most vital units. It serves as the primary mechanism through which the administration achieves effective self-regulation over all institute activities across various departments. It monitors plans and their execution, identifies deviations, and works on finding appropriate solutions.

Department Objectives
  • Auditing the application of laws and regulations in all financial and administrative actions across all departments and units.
  • Tightening control over financial resources and revenues generated for the institute’s accounting units.
  • Evaluating the extent of compliance by various formations with effective decisions and laws to ensure the preservation of public funds.
  • Developing audit plans and programs to rationalize expenditures and protect public funds from manipulation and embezzlement.
Department Tasks
  • Auditing financial matters before and after expenditure, as well as administrative and inventory auditing.
  • Verifying the safety of the institute’s assets and their optimal use through supervising the inventory of assets and warehouses.
  • Ensuring the implementation of effective laws and instructions and developing them to keep pace with the institute’s operations.
  • Coordinating internal audit work with the Federal Board of Supreme Audit and the University Center.
  • Verifying financial obligations resulting from contracts and agreements and the extent of compliance with their terms.
  • Comprehensive auditing of all expenditures, salaries, advances, and deposits (Budget, Higher Education Fund, Evening Studies, Advisory Office).
