A step that enhances the status of Iraqi academics in international forums: Assistant Lecturer Hourraa Fadel (Coordinator of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Manufacturing Techniques Department) and Assistant Lecturer Noor Hasan Nasser, a faculty member in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department at the Technical Institute / Kufa, achieved an outstanding scientific accomplishment by obtaining an international patent registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office.
The patent was issued for the design of an advanced device titled
“An Integrated Drug-Formulation Analysis Device with Artificial Intelligence.”
This innovation is considered a qualitative leap in the fields of pharmacy and scientific research; it relies on artificial intelligence techniques to analyze the stability of pharmaceutical compounds and to determine the accuracy of their chemical formulations with high speed and efficiency. As a result, it significantly reduces the time required for lengthy traditional laboratory tests and lowers the rate of human error.
This achievement also confirms the capability of the institute’s scientific competencies to compete with the highest-level international institutions. It represents a valuable addition to the record of the Technical University of the Middle Euphrates—renowned for excellence and innovation—thereby contributing to raising the global standing of Iraqi educational institutions.
