In confident steps toward achieving comprehensive quality and consolidating standards of excellence, the Technical Institute/Kufa welcomed the National Evaluation Team and the Institutional Accreditation Council delegated by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem Abadi, Dean of the Institute, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ayad Muslim Hamza, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students.
This evaluation visit, which spans seven days, represents a pivotal step toward completing the requirements for granting institutional accreditation to Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and affirming its commitment to the highest standards of governance and academic quality.
The visit includes a comprehensive review of all aspects of work within the institute, including the examination of quality assurance files, evaluation of academic plans, and analysis of research performance indicators and community service.
The team’s agenda also includes field visits to assess the educational environment, infrastructure, and teaching practices, as well as verifying the alignment of administrative and academic procedures with the standards outlined in the National Institutional Accreditation Guide.
During the reception of the visiting delegation, the dean emphasized that institutional accreditation is at the forefront of the institute’s strategic priorities, noting that the efforts undertaken are not merely aimed at obtaining accreditation but rather reflect the institute’s vision to advance education, learning, and scientific research and to strengthen engagement with the labor market to ensure the quality of its graduates.
He also praised the high level of dedication demonstrated by the institute’s staff in building advanced institutional systems aligned with best academic practices, expressing his confidence that these efforts will culminate in achieving the institutional accreditation that the university and its formations deserve.
As the team continues its evaluation tasks, it is expected that the final report will be issued later, paving the way for the announcement of accreditation results—an important step that will enhance the reputation of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University both locally and internationally.
