The Nursing Techniques Department at the Technical Institute/Kufa organized a specialized workshop on
leukemia. The session was presented by:
Assistant lecturer. Noor Hadi Hassan
who provided an overview of leukemia, explaining that it is an abnormal proliferation of abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow, which affects the bone marrow’s ability to produce other types of blood cells. She also talked about what causes leukemia, the different stages and types of it, noting that there are four types: acute myeloid, acute lymphoblastic, chronic myeloid, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, along with the symptoms and ways to diagnose it
The workshop ended with a talk on leukemia treatment methods and the complications that may arise from the disease or its medications
