Towards Innovation and Excellence in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research
With the participation of a selection of researchers and academics from various universities and scientific institutions. The conference aimed to highlight the latest developments in medical and pharmaceutical sciences and to open avenues for scientific and research collaboration between academics and researchers from both inside and outside Iraq.
The participation of the faculty members of the department included the publication and presentation of several reputable scientific research papers. Assistant Lecturer Houra Saleh Dhaher presented her research titled:
Parasitic Diarrhea among Preschool and School-Aged Children in Al-Najaf: Prevalence and Associated Factors
Her research focused on studying the prevalence of parasitic diarrhea among children in the preschool and school-age stages in Najaf Al-Ashraf, along with identifying the associated factors.
Assistant Lecturer Ola Sadiq Hassan presented her research titled:
‘Comparative Study of Serum Ferritin and Hemoglobin in Thalassemia Major Patients on Deferasirox versus Deferoxamine at Al Zahraa Teaching Hospital, Najaf, Iraq,’
which included a comparative study of ferritin and hemoglobin levels in patients with major thalassemia undergoing treatment with deferasirox and deferoxamine at Al Zahraa Teaching Hospital in Najaf Al-Ashraf, highlighting the therapeutic aspects and clinical outcomes of both treatment regimens.
These contributions enriched the conference sessions and scientific discussions, reaffirming the active role of the Technical Institute/Kufa in supporting scientific research and encouraging faculty members to participate in scientific activities and conferences
