The Nursing Technology Department at the Technical Institute / Kufa organized a specialized scientific seminar on the role of high blood pressure in the occurrence of heart diseases, presented by:
Assistant Lecturer Noor Hadi Hassan
Assistant Lecturer Sara Aboud Shanan
It provided an introductory overview of high blood pressure and the heart diseases resulting from it. The seminar highlighted that chronic high blood pressure significantly strains the heart, causing it to work harder, which leads to damage and hardening of the arteries. This reduces the heart’s blood supply, weakens its pumping ability, and makes it susceptible to failure and early death due to heart attacks and strokes, making its management essential for heart health.
The seminar concluded with a discussion of a range of cardiovascular diseases resulting from high blood pressure, as well as methods for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.
