The environment of the Technical Institute / Kufa witnessed the launch of a large-scale afforestation campaign this morning, led by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazim Abadi, coinciding with the start of the new academic year 2025-2026
This campaign aims to reduce the negative impacts of climate change effectively and to highlight the role of academic institutions in serving the community and the environment
Many institute staff participated in launching the campaign, headed by the Dean, along with the Vice Deans for Scientific Affairs, students, the administrative and Financial Affairs, as well as the heads of scientific departments
Since the Albizia seedlings were planted to increase green spaces and improve the aesthetic aspects of the institute
Where the Dean emphasized the importance of activating the role of educational institutions in promoting environmental protection awareness, praising the efforts of all participants in the campaign, and appreciating the role of service staff in providing a green university environment, which ensures a healthy and sustainable environment for students
This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the institute’s administration to achieving an ideal educational environment that contributes to building an aware and conscious generation of their responsibilities towards their environment
