The event also featured an educational scientific lecture delivered by:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lecturer Ola Sadiq Hassan<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawal Abed Hashem<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The lecture aimed to raise health awareness and educate students on scientific facts regarding diabetes, encouraging a healthy lifestyle for prevention and treatment. Furthermore, it addressed common myths that may impact public knowledge, clarifying that sugar consumption is not a direct cause of the disease and that it can also affect individuals with a normal weight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The session also highlighted the risks of the pre-diabetes stage, noting that it can be reversed through healthy lifestyle changes, and explained the concept of insulin resistance. It concluded by emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet and the possibility of moderate carbohydrate intake for diabetic patients, ultimately promoting community health and early
