The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Technologies Organizes a Scientific Seminar Titled "Advancements in Upper Limb Prosthetics"
As part of the activities for Global Entrepreneurship Week and with the aim of keeping pace with advancements in the field of upper limb prosthetics, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Technologies at the Technical Institute/Kufa organized a scientific seminar on the latest developments in upper limb prosthetics. The seminar was presented by:
Engineer Amjad Abdul Amir
Engineer Hussein Damir
The seminar addressed the pressing need to keep up with advancements in upper limb prosthetics and the necessity of producing prosthetic limbs capable of restoring lost hand functionality. In response, several global companies have focused on developing advanced motorized prosthetic arms that operate using myoelectric signals. These prosthetics partially replicate the natural hand’s functions, enabling amputees to rely on them for performing daily activities.
